The Online Train-the-Trainer class is accepted by Microsoft for proof of instructional expertise for the MCT (Microsoft Certified Trainer).

Train-the-Trainer Certification Steps

1. Receive your log-on information for the Student Area via e-mail.

   The Train-the-Trainer Online Student Learning Area has hands on examples of Train-the-Trainer Presentations and step-by-step information on how to create your Train-the-Trainer Presentation.

   The Student Learning Area Includes Train-the-Trainer Presentation Materials:

   1. Sample Train-the-Trainer Videos
   2. Sample Train-the-Trainer PowerPoint Presentations
   3. Sample Train-the-Trainer PowerPoint Templates
   4. Sample Train-the-Trainer Handouts
2. View Train-the-Trainer Presentation and Instructional Skills Development Module and Sample Train-the-Trainer Videos.

   Access the SLA (Student Learning Area) with the provided username and password to view Sample Train-the-Trainer Videos and a 30 minute Presentation and Instructional Skills Development Module.

   The materials contained in the SLA identify specific areas of Instructional Expertise that need to be developed and will assist you in developing an appropriate presentation subject for the Train-the-Trainer delivery skills presentation.

   You will develop a personalized presentation that develops your interactive instructional and presentation skill-set. The Master Trainer makes Train-the-Trainer certification fast and easy.

3. Develop & submit your Train-the-Trainer Instructional Presentation Materials for editorial review by Master Instructor.

   You will develop and upload your Instructional Presentation materials to the SLA (Student Learning Area) for editorial review to the Master Trainer. The Master Trainer will provide recommendations for revisions as needed.

   The instructional presentation video is required only for Train-the-Trainer Plus students. You must provide your own video equipment including an audience of at least three students. The video will reflect a demonstration of instructional expertise. You will submit the completed video or DVD for review to PrepMasters by upload or mail. Students are allowed to submit their video presentation up to 2x for review by the Master Instructor.

4. Instructor Review

   The Master Instructor will carefully evaluate your submitted materials.

   Download and study the Train-the-Trainer E-book in order to successfully pass the Train-the-Trainer Online Exam.

5. Take the Train-the-Trainer Online Exam

   Take the Train-the-Trainer exam to reinforce your training skills.

6. Receive Train-the-Trainer Certification

   After you pass the exam, your Train-the-Trainer Certification will be sent to you via mail.

Time frame:

This certification may be accomplished from the comfort of your home or office. You will have 1 year from the date of your enrollment to complete the online training program. You may review the online videos and sample presentations as often as necessary during the 1 year period.

Technical Requirements:

Internet access is required for this course. The streaming videos, exam and sample materials are accessed through an easy to use website. You are provided a link to this website upon enrollment. The Online Train-the-Trainer program is accessible via Mac (Apple) or PC.

Train-the-Trainer Plus students only: You must produce your own video equipment and instructional video in one of the accepted formats (see "Video Guidelines for Train-the-Trainer Plus Students" below).

Train the Trainer Online Exam:

After studying the Train-the-Trainer E-Book, you will take a 50 question online test to reinforce key skills.

Train-the-Trainer Certificate:

Providing that submissions meet the minimum requirements set forth in the training course, PrepMasters will issue the Train-the-Trainer certificate via email and/or standard mail.

Language requirements:

Participants must read and speak basic English.

Video guidelines for Train-the-Trainer Plus Students:

A Master Instructor will help you prepare for the video presentation. You are responsible for providing your own video equipment, classrooms and students for the video.

Video length must be 20 minutes; we do not watch past 20 minutes and will not approve a video under 20 minutes.

Video presentations can be submitted via FTP, VHS video and DVD. All videos must be uncut and unedited. Videos received via FTP must be in a format recognized by Windows Media Player.
